Party Snack Essentials
I’m dishing out all of my favorite snacks in this post! From a movie night in with bae to the rooftop shindig with your girls to that 2 AM snack craving... Here are some of my favorite snacks that I never throw a party without. Add it to your Amazon cart below!
Pink Buddha Popcorn for your next Movie Night
Who doesn’t love that good old, buttery popcorn from the movie theater? Well, Buddha Bowl’s Himalayan Pink Popcorn is just as good, and it’s actually healthier. I discovered these goodies at Whole Foods and have since been ordering them on Amazon in different flavors. Plus, buying snacks in bulk is cost effective. 🙄
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the recent pink salt trend… Pink Himalayan Salt is basically 98% sodium chloride, so it’s very chemically compatible to “regular” table salt. It also contains traces of various minerals like potassium, magnesium, and calcium. So yea… somewhat healthier than regular buttered popcorn. These minerals give the salt its light pink color, help reduce acid reflux, and regulate the body’s water content. This is what helps prevent muscle cramping. So if you don’t know, now you know!
Just to be clear, eating an entire bag of Pink Buddha Popcorn cannot treat acid reflux. But I ate an entire bag of it and did not suffer from acid reflux.
Not-So-Basic Chips & Salsa for your Rooftop Shindig
Dreams Aren’t This Good… And neither is any other salsa that I’ve tasted! The makers of DATG salsa really focus on taste, not so much the spiciness. I eat spicy food all of the time, so I really don’t mind enjoying some flavor and sacrificing some spice when it comes to my chips and salsa. And their charitable giving makes me feel better about my bad snacking habits. Every jar sold proceeds a different non-profit organization, which is built right into the price — 5 cents to be exact!
The Original is just your classic salsa with a unique DATG flavor and proceeds for each of those jars purchased gets donated to Hunger Free America. The Fighter consist of my two favorite ingredients when it comes to Italian food. And this jar benefits MTV’s Staying Alive, a non-profit organization that uses storytelling to impact lives. Just Dance is my favorite flavor because I love pineapple and jalapeño, so it’s got that sweet flavor with a spicy kick. I’m terrible at giving ranges of spiciness because I love spicy food, so this is just a little bit of a kick for me, but not something that leaves me chugging a gallon of water to cool my mouth down. Just Dance is like a spicy margarita in a jar, but you eat it with chips. This jar supports The Center: The LGBT Community Center and was inspiring by Lady Gag’s song “Just Dance”… and enjoy!

Something sweet to crunch on
This healthy snack choice is yummy and sweet. It’s also loaded with organic super seeds. I discovered this snackaroo at Starbucks and started noticing it at the grocery store, so I always find it’s a great snack to keep in my bag when I’m on the go because it’s healthy and comes in a resealable bag. I actually keep a bag of these crunchies in my gym bag, so I don’t go crazy and scarf down a huge dinner. This helps me not ruin my workout when I get home from a spin class all ravenous and what not. But this is just a snacking pro tip, from personal experience, these don’t make the best plane or movie snacks because they are so damn crunchy.
Those new Chickpea Snacks that everyone’s raving about
Apparently, those salty, crunchy chickpeas are popular these days. Not my favorites, but a lot of people love them and my friends have been wanting to try them. Guess you know what’s gonna be on my snack table next weekend. I enjoy the chickpea puffs because they are similar enough to a bag of cheese puffs or cheese doodles, but I’m not really a fan of the seasoned baked chickpeas.
Something healthy
In case anyone is in the mood for a healthy snack, here’s an option! I actually carry a few of these healthy snack bars around with me everywhere I go, so that I won’t be that hangry girl who ends up grabbing a hot dog from a food truck. It’s always a good idea to carry snacks with you, especially when you’re on a diet or just trying not to eat out as much. It’s just always a good idea to carry a healthy snack, or your favorite granola bar, to help fight cravings for junk food throughout the day.
