A Review of Dry Shampoo
I’m not a huge fan of dry shampoo. And by the time you’re done reading this blog post, you’ll realize that I’m still not a dry shampoo lover. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned wash and conditioning treatment, especially after hitting up a spin class before work, if time is not of the essence. The “messy, dirty look” is growing on me now anyway. Check out my hairdo in the picture above. In any case, here’s a quick review of a few different dry shampoo products that I’ve tried over the past several months.
Drybar introduced me to the concept of a “dry wash,” before I even knew dry shampoo was a thing. But dry washing was definitely popular long before I started using Drybar’s Detox dry shampoo. Other brands that I’ve tried are Batiste and Psssst!, which are widely available at the local drugstore or supermarket. And apparently, Batiste made the cut for Drew Barrymore’s list of favorite drugstore beauty products! While the fragrances of these dry shampoos are great, the white streaks through my hair are not cute.
More recently, I’ve been using this dry shampoo from L’ange, a female-founded haircare brand that sells both products and hot styling tools. And I really like their haircare products! As for the dry shampoo specifically, even though it’s described as a white powdery spray, it doesn’t show on my hair at all. I swear it really comes out clear, to begin with.
