Malibu Farm NYC
Malibu Farm is a farm-to-table restaurant located at Pier 17 within the Seaport District of New York City. The Financial District is one of the more low-key hangouts in Manhattan because it's physically the lowest place in the city. This female-owned restaurant started in Newport, California, and now has locations throughout the U.S. I've also been to the South Beach, Miami location and my experience at both venues was pretty uniform. Take a read below for my recommendations. Here’s the menu to look at ahead of time. Don’t forget to book a Resy!
COVID-19 Protocols
Like many NYC restaurants, Malibu Farm is accepting reservations on the Resy app, which will most likely confirm your scheduled time to visit once more than they usually did pre-COVID. More importantly, Resy will ask for your contact info and home address for contract tracing purposes. I know some people are freaked out by this, but I greatly appreciate these new safety features because I got a call right away to let me know that I may have come in contact with someone who tested positive for COVD-19 at the restaurant I had dinner in the night before. Luckily, I tested negative! But, I was relieved that they got a hold of me right away before I potentially continued spreading COVID-19 around. Here are screenshots of what the contact form looks like in the Resy app. If you have any questions or concerns, check out Malibu Farm’s Guest Experience webpage.
The Tea
So there are no prices on the menu, which is usually the first sign that a restaurant might be pricy. My first visit wasn’t bad because I was only a part of one ordering a main dish and a cocktail for lunch. The second visit cost a little over $100, before the tip. All in all, I felt that the value of my dinner was well worth what I paid. My only complaint this time around would have to be that the service was a little slow but other than that, I enjoyed both visits. The staff are so friendly and make you feel right at home.

Here is some more social media coverage paired with more food photos from my second visit… Gotta get them angles!
