Accountability + Self-Motivation
For starters, let's define what accountability is?
I Googled it! Accountability is the fact or condition of being accountable or responsible.
Do you hold yourself accountable for your actions? What about your lack of actions? How?
I try to be the best version of myself everyday. And I do this by holding myself accountable for my actions... and my laziness. My health is a top priority for me. I do my absolute best to eat healthy 75% of the time. For the other 25%, I hit the gym at least 3 or 4 days a week. On a good week, I can make it to the gym 5 or 6 days. But, that doesn't usually happen. It's amazing that there are people who workout everyday. I used to never workout because I "had no time." How many times have you heard that one?
And here's where the laziness kicks in... I start my day pretty early, to keep up with the blog and emails. Then, I go to work at my "real job." And when I finish with work, I have to run errands and grocery shop. And when I get home, I have to cook dinner and meal prep for the next day's lunch. It would be so much easier to drop everything and run out to McDonald's or the closest food truck.
I hold myself accountable for all of my actions as much as possible, by being honest with myself. I accept no excuses and place no blame on others (unless it is actually their fault). It's all about me.
Everyone loves homework, right? Yea, I didn't think so. Even if you don't write something down and make it official, at least promise me that you'll think about this tonight. What is something that you want/need to do, but can't seem to get around to it? What's stopping you? What can you do to change this?
