Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs
Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs is one of my favorite spots in Tribeca to catch up with friends over drinks... And the food’s not bad! Tiny's is located inside a historic 1810 townhouse, so it’s very quaint and perfect for a romantic, dimly lit dinner on a weekday. Weekends tend to get busier, and it’s hard to hear your own conversation, so keep that in mind. They do have outdoor seating, which a must when the weather is this beautiful. Otherwise, I prefer the bar upstairs. Either way, make sure to book a table on Resy.
I'm not a big eater these days, so shared plates are definitely my jam. We started with the Kale Salad, which is pretty basic, but the dressing was so tangy and delicious. Raw things are my fav, and it’s been a minute since I had sushi, so I really enjoyed the Hamachi Carpaccio and Citrus Ceviche.
The Peachy Clean was a nice refreshing Summer cocktail, especially after the long, hot walk from Grand Central Terminal. Yes, I walked to dinner because I’m a real New Yorker, and I like getting my steps in. Highly recommend it!
The Branzino may have been slightly overcooked, but that’s better than the alternative. And my friend really enjoyed the Shrimp Fried Rice. I like most of my food spicy, so I probably would’ve dumped Sriracha hot sauce all over it.
